| Yes indeed. Before taking a thought... before acting out upon the presumption of a thought... there is a Call to allow and feel the connectedness of be-ing first - and let discernment arise from a 'being-based' perspective instead of a thought-derived judgement. For in taking a thought or image to be our self - and running with it - we create a polarized experience of conflictedness, limitation and a loss of trust - that ever limits and entangles itself in its own thoughts believed.
If one could just feel the knot in attention one would instantly release it - but not unlike a back pain - the original pain is locked into a contractive defence system that freezes up around it and becomes a body of pain. Yet in recognizing the same in your brother - you are uncovered to your own - and now can make a better choice - in willingness for a better way that is the Holy Spirit's Gift through your release of your brother of what you chose to see before.
A felt separation from God is the root of all pain and though expressed in all kinds of physically defined scenarios - the underlying 'disease' is the believed loss of love - God-Love. This doesn't mean that if we try to generate love we can 'heal our body' but that the letting in, and the sharing out, of God-love will shift the ground - the context out of which the scenario of sickness or conflict expresses and finds its support. We need our Brother - we need our world - for of and by ourself we share not.
But when it comes to the nitty gritty - we tend to find fear and resistance in letting down our defences - including all the coping strategies that we have learned in lovelessness. And in listening to our fear as guide are soon confirmed in the relative safeties that constitute the 'devil we know' - for the fear of God is what the world of distraction was made to hide. Yet "Perfect love casts out all fear", and, "There is no fear in Perfect love". To fear love is to love fear - and yet see that as a self-loving protection. One cannot really Love fear - but one can give attention and vigilance on its behalf and accord it a sense of safety and trust.
Fear is the symptom of a divided will and is replaced by a Unified Will - as such is accepted. As is truly desired.
Our desire to heal the world is rooted in a deeper desire that is not based on lack or engaged in terms of lack - but on wholeness and abundance: the desire of love to share itself. Such is the Nature of God - and seemingly impossible in this world. But if love is indeed love - then it is 'this world' that is impossible. Working out how the impossible can have come to be or seem to be is a further occupation of the mind that thinks it thinks alone.
The urgency is not to save the world. The urgency is to come to the point of letting love in.
Then there is a different syllabus that is communicated - in place.
And it is this Holy Spirit that reveals Greater Things than anything the world's mind can comprehend or even imagine.
This is not a source of superiority, and cannot be used to personal advantage - but is of a restored participation in Creative Being. I All That You Are - without the distortion filtering of what you thought your were or the world was.
The words are grand - but the step by step practice uncovers their meaning - in place.
And whatever is said - is altogether different from all that you thought you knew before - and yet is not something new added to you as you think - but a-New basis of be-ing that - after any process of orientation has settled - is recognizably Home.
Not a home in which to fall asleep - but a Home to live out from - to extend without leaving and to uncover by extending.
Yet in all of this our part is let God do God's Work - and forego becoming a someone in our own right.
The validation felt in sharing the Heart transcends worldly riches - yet the desire to be a 'someone in our own right' can cast that aside as nothing if you invite it to be your guest in love's stead.
Now it may be that in trusting The Life - one is led to be or do in ways that show up and are interpreted as leader or follower - or even saint or sinner. And if we look outside for our identity we will succumb to such suggestions and forget our way. But in ongoing willingness to abide as trust in the communion and its extension - the habits of the world diminish in their allure.
We always know when we lose our way because it always becomes fighting ourselves - even if we try to present it as something about the other or the world.
Some fighters have to exhaust themselves before a new perspective can find welcome. Others can suddenly notice and catch themselves and repent of what they realize they do not want.
Healing rises through the undermining of the asserted structure that inherently dissallows for change at a fundamental level - and thus lets fear dissolve as a deeper trust extends.
These things are of God and not man. They are Inherent to the True Nature of Being.
If you get the meaning - then you are the meaning.
We cannot 'catch hold' of ourself in understanding - but can abide as we already truly are and know it true
In Peace
